Introduction To Summit Retreat:
Summit Retreat is reminiscent of boutique lodging found all over the world. It is situated at the summit of a 2300 foot mountain, which allows its unmatched spectacular panoramic views of Lake Shasta, Mt. Lassen, Mt. Shasta and a 35 mile view to the south.
Summit Retreat was built with retreats in mind, but serves as a fantastic family vacation spot. The retreat was completely remodeled in 2012, using only high quality materials and design. The retreat itself boasts 6000 square feet, and is situated on 150 acres of private mountain top land.
Summit Retreat is managed by AIM Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. AIM has two main works that it supports, Heroes of the Nation Orphanage- Kenya’s largest orphanage, and Summit Think Tank & Retreat- which gathers leaders to solve mankind’s problems. You can feel great knowing that all donations go to support non-profit work!
Great Room:
Summit Retreat’s Great Room, truly lives up to its name. As one walks past the custom mosaic on the entry floor, one is drawn into the great room’s astounding view of Lake Shasta. The soaring ceilings and wall of windows almost make one feel like one of the bald eagles outside, perched on the mountainside, overlooking their vast domain. The great room is truly fabulous, accented by the custom granite fireplace with inset amber lighting. The expansive wood floor echos the moments of merity through its rich dark timbers. And the vaulted ceiling is crowned with a 7 foot fan. Truly, a room that can be called “great”.

Dining Area:
The Dining Area looks out over Shasta Lake and retreat pool. Enjoy your meal in style with the custom designed glass and stainless steel tables and warm glow of amber lighting overhead. The dining area can seat up to 16 people comfortably.
Kitchen:
Summit Retreat boasts a well equipped kitchen, endowed with commercial quality stainless steel appliances and utensils. While not an expansive kitchen, you’ll find the quality of the kitchen to be on par with the best around. Allow our chef to prepare meals for you here, or bring your own food and experience the kitchen’s quality first hand.
Pub Area:
The one of a kind bar, is accented by wood carvings and wine barrel ends. The top of the bar allows the carved wood trim to seamlessly meet the onyx colored tile top. Beverage taps, a sink, dishwasher, trash compactor, and microwave, balance the artistry of the bar with modern day practicality. A rock fireplace with inset amber lighting and wine bottles, nestles the far side of the bar with another sitting area. Get a drink, sit down, and relax by the fire in this unique pub and sitting area!
Upper Balcony Bar Area:
Enjoy the expansive sunsets from this area, curl up in one of the cozy chairs, or sit on a bar stool at the custom balcony railing/bar. Or turn around and take in the views of Mt. Shasta as it dominates the Northern landscape. The balcony area, is one area you’ll have a hard time leaving!
Panorama View Bedroom & Loft:
As you enter the Panorama View Bedroom, the first thing you’ll notice is the duel koi painted sinks near the door with matching back splash tile. Then your breath will be taken away as your eyes drift across the room and behold the grand views from the bedroom windows. This room has one of the best views in the retreat. The Panorama View Bedroom also has one of the most eye-catching bathrooms in the retreat, bearing stainless steel accent tiles with slate in the shower, complete with a window in the shower so one doesn’t miss the eagles flying below, or any of the breathtaking view. The room boasts an additional queen in the loft, allowing for families or couples to maximize the space if it’s a full house.

Horizon View Bedroom:
This bedroom is situated on the second floor on the SE corner, which facilitates fantastic views of Lake Shasta and beyond. On a clear day, one can see all the way to Red Bluff (35 miles) from this room. A dormer was added for this room, which provides ample natural light, flooding the room with the soft glow of the sun. It comes equipped with a Eastern King bed, fireplace, flat screen TV*, it’s own vanity and glass bowl sink, and a shared bathroom featuring slate tile and awesome natural light from the windows and skylight.

Shasta View Bedroom:
As the name suggests, this bedroom provides a dazzling view of Mt. Shasta. High ceilings and a large window, give this room a larger feel, and a ceiling fan keeps the room cool. Amenities include a fan, flat screen TV, fireplace, and it’s own bathroom.
Sunrise View Bedroom:
This bedroom features built-ins for your luggage or clothing, glass bowl sink and vanity, mini fan, fireplace, flat screen TV*, track lighting, views of Mt. Lassen through the trees, and inset amber lighting. It shares a bathroom with the Horizon View Bedroom, and gives direct access to the view balcony.

River View Bedroom:
The River View Bedroom provides views of the McCloud River Arm of Lake Shasta, and overlooks the east deck area. It has it’s own vanity and sink, queen sized bed, flat screen TV* and fireplace. It shares a bathroom with the Aspen View Bedroom.

Aspen View Bedroom:
This cozy bedroom offers a “super-twin” size bed (extra long and wide), fireplace, flat screen TV*, mini fan, and a shared bathroom and shower. This is one of the only rooms with original wood flooring, resurfaced, stained and polished to perfection. Because this room is on the north side of the retreat, one can have fantastic views of majestic Mt. Shasta.

Narnia Loft:
Through the secret door, just like the wardrobe in Narnia, is another loft with a great view of spectacular Mt. Shasta. This cozy room is equipped with queen bed, and skylight.
